You're a Fierce Fairy!
My wings are my rebellion. My
magic is justice.
Your Affirmation:
Your Fairy Kin:
Maleficent (Justice without
apology)
The Blue Fairy (Judge of
souls)
Iridessa (Problem-solver,
loyal protector)Your Fierce Fairy Identity:
Your wings aren't decoration, they're declarations. Every flutter writes justice in the
air. You don't grant wishes; you fight for them.
You weave rebellion into beauty. Your magic serves justice, not just power. And
when the gate opens, you know exactly which souls deserve passage.
Why Fierce Fairies Matter
Most people think fairies are delicate helpers. Tiny wings fluttering around gardens,
granting wishes with a wave of a wand. But that's not YOUR story.

I'm Alicia McCalla. A superhero fiction author
by day, fierce fairy believer by heart.
Most people know me for writing Black
women superheroes. What they don't know? I
secretly obsess over badass fairies who fight
for justice instead of granting wishes.
I created this Fierce Fairy collection because
whimsy can be weaponized. Because wings
can be armor. Because sometimes the most
powerful magic comes wrapped in rebellion.
If you're here, you already know: we're not the
background sparkle. We're the fierce ones. What makes me a Fierce Fairy vs. other archetypes?
You blend beauty with battle. Your magic serves justice,
not just power. While Omega Superheroes fight with
cosmic force and Warrior Goddesses wield elemental
rage, you fight with wings, judgment, and rebellious
grace. You're the whimsy that bites back—the fairy who
doesn't grant wishes, she fights for them.
Will I get stories about Black fairies?
Yes. Starting with The Blue Gate flash fiction (watch
your inbox), plus The Fae Witch's Pregnancy from Curse
of the Spiral. These aren't Disney fairies—they're
warriors who guard gates, judge souls, and refuse to be
background magic.
Can I wear both Dark Fairy Justice AND Blue Fairy
designs?
Absolutely. If both call to you, claim both.
How do you create your unique characters and
storyworlds?
I weave from African mythology, Afrofuturism, and
the lived resilience of Black women. Every heroine
I write is born from survival, imagination, and the
question: _What if we had always been the storm?
_ That's why each storyworld feels layered and
immersive—because it's built from truth and fire,
not clichés.
Can allies participate or buy from your store?
Yes. While my stories center Black women,
anyone who resonates with themes of justice,
power, and transformation is welcome here. If you
believe in celebrating Black heroines, you belong.
