Iniko Novella Available as an e-book Summer Read

I’ve been working on my latest project. Iniko is a short novella about the bi-racial daughter of the West African goddess, Mawu.  This project has been intense and emotional but I believe that readers of the African elemental series will be excited.  There’s plenty of sword action and of course, controversial issues that relate to Africana women.  So far this series has tackled, domestic violence, female genital mutilation and now trokosi slave wives.

Oftentimes, people ask me why I share or tackle these tough issues.  There’s only one answer, because I must.  Know that this novella not only pushes the limits of female slavery but there’s also bonus material about Iniko’s mother, Mawu.  Are you ready to read how a pregnant Earth goddess fights to the death with two war swords? I love to write tough female warriors.

I’ve enjoyed putting together a work that’s filled with West African mythology, vampires, controversial Africana issues, demonic forces and sword action.  This series is not for the faint of heart. LOL!

Iniko

Every magical tale has a beginning…

Iniko, secret daughter of a West African goddess and a Norse god, struggles with her estranged husband, who abducted their child and is intent on murdering her in a ritual to gain power for his ancient demonic master. Iniko travels to a West African castle during the slave trade to battle possessed vampire-like beasts with her sword and dagger to rescue her child. Will she kill her husband?

Kuumba has hunted his wife for ten years, slaughtering her adopted family in retribution for murdering his father and tricking him into sharing his magical power in the mate bond.  But when he learns the truth, will he have the strength to rebel against his master, especially if it means he must sacrifice himself for his wife and child?

This novella reveals the birth of the villain in the highly anticipated Soul Eaters novel.
