BADASS AFFIRMATION OF THE WEEK: Afro Colombian Superheroine "I am a Guardian of Light and Hope!"
Share
This week's affirmation honors the guardians among us:
"I AM A GUARDIAN OF LIGHT AND HOPE!"
Inspired by my recent travels to Cartegena, Colombia, The striking image features an Afro-Colombian woman dressed as a superhero, her flowing cape bearing the colors of Palenque - black, red, royal blue, and gold. She stands tall, radiating strength and grace.
As this heroine demonstrates, to be a guardian means channeling the richness and resilience within. With each challenge, one rises to meet it unyieldingly yet thoughtfully. Their spirit remains unbreakable while their purpose guides - to empower, protect and inspire. A guardian is a beacon, lighting the path ahead for brighter days.
Journal Prompts for This Week:
- Write about a time in your life when you felt deeply connected to your cultural roots or heritage. How did this connection empower you in a challenging situation?
- Envision yourself as a beacon of positive change. What does this look like in your daily life?
- Write about three specific ways you can embody the spirit of empowerment, protection, and inspiration in your interactions, decisions, and actions.
- How can you light the path for a brighter future for yourself and those around you?
Stay inspired, friends!
