So truth time...
I had many failed stories over the last couple of years. I even started to doubt myself. I wrote an Alien Invasion Romance, A Phoenix Superhero, and a Fury Reaper. Completing each project taught me valuable lessons, but I also knew these weren’t ready for the market. What I realized is sometimes projects don’t work or need substantial re-working.
But, let me rewind, a couple of years ago, I attended the Career Author Summit, and I learned about the Serial Format. I was intrigued by the concept but didn’t really have any idea how I would proceed. I asked myself what the best way for me to proceed with a serial was. I incubated and purged several ideas but nothing jelled until I’d finished the 101 Badass Superhero Affirmations - something just cemented and connected. I knew instinctively that I had to write a badass Black woman superhero, but she needed to be a vigilante AND in a serial format.

I'm so thrilled to give you another sneak peek into the superhero vigilante serial I've been developing! This story represents a creative stretch for me into an episodic format. While unconventional, I believe it's the perfect vehicle to bring this complex heroine and her quest for justice to life.
